The iPad was very popular when it first came out and it seems to grow in more and more as popularity as every day pass. This is an extremely handy electronic device to have and use. Many people these days just can’t seem to do without it once they own one.
Here are some things you can do with your iPad that you may have not thought before and will help it become more productive for you:
1. Take notes in lectures and meetings
There’s a Note app which is built-in the iPad that a lot of people use to take notes at meetings and lectures. Students are turning to their iPad instead of a pen and paper to keep notes at school. While the Notes application is fine, there’s another one called Daily Notes that goes one step further. With this app, you’ll be able to categorize the notes you take by tagging them and putting dates on your notes. This makes it a lot easier to locate when you need to refer to them at a later time.
Notability is another great app that you may want to consider if you’re looking for even more flexibility. This app allows you to highlight items and add comments using your stylus.
2. Editing your documents
There are a few editing apps available that you can also use for viewing documents, spreadsheets and presentations. If you need to edit PDF files, you can use iAnnotate to do it and if you need to store or view the PowerPoint presentations you can use SlideShark.
Quick Office HD Pro gives you the option to create or edit Office files. This is a fantastic program for anyone that wants to store their files in Google Drive or Dropbox and provides some functionality for managing files as well.
Clouds are becoming invaluable since they allow you to share files with others or access them from your mobile devices and home computers. Both Google Drive and Dropbox are great cloud options and many of the iPad apps allow seamless integration with Dropbox.
If you’re working with a lot of zip files, you’ll want to consider iZip Pro. It also provides some functionality with file management.
This is a free app that is perfect for people that need help organizing their thoughts. When you have something in your mind that you need to take note of right away, you can launch the application, write it down and then view it later. Thinglist is another super app can be used as a to-do list or as an organizer.
For people that need to feel like somebody is holding them accountable, Carrot is the one app that you need to have in your arsenal to help keep you motivated. It’s a to-do list that will get angry with you if you don’t do the things on your list and check them off. You’ll need to make sure that you perform the tasks that you’ve assigned to yourself or else face the wrath of the Carrot!
